NIOS D.El.Ed Candidates’ Data Submitted, BPSC Updates
Patna: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has submitted the data of candidates who completed the 18-month D.El.Ed course from NIOS for the second phase of the teacher recruitment exam (TRE-2) to the Education Department. The commission has prepared category-wise, subject-wise, and quota-wise data and handed it over to the department.
The Education Department has yet to provide details on vacancies. Once the required information is received, the commission will announce the results. It is noteworthy that in 2023, the Supreme Court had revoked the recognition of the 18-month D.El.Ed course from NIOS. Following this, the Bihar Education Department had declared such candidates ineligible. However, based on a review petition ruling, these candidates have now been granted recognition.

Aadhaar Linkage Mandatory for Students to Receive Scholarships and Benefits
Students studying in government schools must now link their bank accounts with Aadhaar to receive scholarships, uniforms, and other benefits. The Education Department has issued directives to all districts to ensure Aadhaar seeding of students’ bank accounts. Without this linkage, students will not be eligible for benefits under various government schemes, including scholarships, uniforms, and sanitary napkins.
The E-Shikshakosh portal will be used to manage beneficiary schemes. A recent review revealed that many students’ bank accounts are not linked to Aadhaar. The department has instructed all schools to expedite the Aadhaar seeding process to ensure that all eligible students receive the benefits directly in their accounts.
